Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Celtic finally got back to winning ways to round off the month. There has been plenty of off-field drama for boss Neil Lennon to deal with so far in 2021, but they earned their first victory if the year with a comfortable win over Hamilton.

Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring with a brilliant low drive from 25-yards out that found the bottom corner of Ryan Fulton’s net.

The lead was doubled in the second half as strike partners Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard linked up well. The Scotland cap slipped Edouard into the box before the Frenchman rounded the Accies’ keeper with a neat bit of skill to double the lead.It brings to an end the Hoops run of four games without a win.
