Officers have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after a pensioner was targeted in a robbery. Greater Manchester Police says a man in his 70s was approached from behind and had his pockets forcibly searched in Bury.
Officers were called out to the scene at Jubilee Way, near Bolton Street, at around 9.30am on Friday, February 3. Today (February 24), GMP is urging anyone who recognises the man in the image or has information about the incident to get in touch.
PC Rebecca Gore, of GMP’s Bury district, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured in this robbery, but this was clearly a terrifying ordeal to endure.
No arrests have been made as of yet and extensive work is being done by detectives who are trawling through CCTV and speaking to witnesses.
