CBB's Marisha Wallace fights back tears as she reveals she was scammed out of £60k by man she was dating
ok.co.ukCelebrity Big Brother star Marisha Wallace has revealed how she was conned out of her savings by a man she trusted, in the hopes she can raise awareness about scammers and help others in the same position.The musical theatre star spoke on This Morning on Tuesday 27 August and became visibly upset as she told hosts Craig Doyle and Sian Welby what had happened to her.
She explained that when she moved from New York to London in 2018, she began dating a man she met on Bumble, who she described as “supportive” as she was going through a divorce at the time.
She had saved up some money, and the man sent her details of an account manager he recommended who could help her invest her money.
Marisha said she had many phone calls with the accountant and believed he worked for a reputable financial business, so she invested £24,000 and could see she was earning money so eventually invested a total of £60,000.
