The Crown Prosecution Service will reportedly review their handling of Caroline Flack’s assault case. Flack died by suicide on 15 February at the age of 40 and was awaiting trial for an alleged assault on her boyfriend Lewis Burton at the time of her death.
Proceedings were due to start on 4 March at the Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in London. At a December court hearing, the Love Island presenter had pleaded not guilty to the assault charge.
It is now reported that the CPS will review how they handled Flack’s case in the run up to her tragic death. But it is understood that the outcome of the review will not be made public.
