Carol McGiffin has unleashed a nine-word critique on her former show Loose Women, calling it "boring" in a candid interview.
The 64 year old TV personality shocked fans when she announced her departure from the ITV daytime programme last year, later revealing that she had to "step away" due to a "difficult issue." In a post-exit chat with GB News, Carol opened up about "too much stress" she faced during contract talks and lamented the show's shift towards being "too woke." Speaking to Woman's Own recently, Carol made it clear that there's no reconciliation on the cards with the ITV series, citing her contract as the deal-breaker, which she felt was unreasonable for anyone to sign.
Despite previously stating this year that she "didn't miss" Loose Women and was tired of its "wokeness," Carol admitted feeling a pang of sadness over her exit.
However, despite missing her former colleagues, Carol is adamant about not returning, summarising her stance in a succinct nine words: "I don't regret leaving, I don't fit in there anymore." Having been part of Loose Women since its inception in 2001, Carol expressed her frustration with the show's tendency to cater to easily "offended" audiences and shared that she occasionally tunes in as a reminder that she made the right choice in leaving.
