EXCLUSIVE: Rampage ‘n J Productions, the recently launched production company of UFC champ turned actor-producer Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (The A-Team) and writer-director Joel Silverman, has secured financing for production on a slate of film and TV projects, bringing in Hartbeat alum Carli Haney to oversee development and production.
The financial backers of Rampage ‘n J are Harrison Rogers, CEO of energy drink F3 and the new MMA-style United Fight League, and BC Investments, led by Dr.
Paul Larson and W.D. McCurley. Haney joins as SVP from Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat, where she served as director of development, exec producing the Hart-starrer Fatherhood for Sony and producing and appearing in the Netflix docuseries Kevin Hart: Don’t F**K This Up.
In a statement on her career move, Haney explained, “I was looking for a dynamic situation. We have a great rising talent in Rampage, and I’m confident he’ll elevate to the next level as actor and producer and it only helps that he has worldwide platforms.” Haney added that “as a writer, Joel has sold to all the major buyers with his work attracting Oscar talent from Marcia Gay Harden and Don Cheadle to amazing new stars like Jenna Ortega.
