EXCLUSIVE: Holly Stanton has joined Carlos López Estrada‘s production company, Antigravity Academy, as Head of Development for Narrative and Documentary.
Previously, Stanton was an agent in CAA’s Media Finance group where she packaged and sold documentary features and worked with non-fiction filmmakers and production companies.
Her hiring comes as Antigravity looks to expand its presence in documentaries for both film and television. Already, Stanton has spent several months building a documentary division for the company.
Among the projects coming together as part of her slate at Antigravity, across narrative and documentary, is a documentary based on The New York Times and Serial Productions’ podcast The Good Whale, to be directed by López Estrada, as well as Malls of America (directed by Brian Becker), and The Instrument (directed by Zac Manuel). “Antigravity’s mission to support original and emerging voices continues to take us into new universes,” López Estrada told Deadline, “and we could not be more lucky to start this new chapter with Holly’s creative leadership.” Prior to CAA, Stanton managed content strategy at Participant Media across their narrative and documentary divisions.
