Shocking pictures from the scene show a huge ball of flames engulfing one of the cars. Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the eastbound carriageway on Sunday, report the Daily Record.
A thick plume of black smoke billowed into the air as firefighters tackled the 'raging' flames. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC on the M8 near Greater Western Road. “The call came in at 14.41 and we are currently still in attendance.” It is not clear if anyone has been injured.
