A inspirational man suffering from cancer with a "beaming smile" left a farewell message before tragically taking his own life, an inquest has heard.

Marc Talbot, from Reddish, had "seemed himself" the day before he ended his life and had not vocalised any of his feeling of hopelessness, according to his family, Manchester Evening News reports.

The "strong" 36-year-old, who had been diagnosed with myeloid leukaemia in 2018, had visited the pub the night before he passed and his family were under the impression that he was sleeping the following day, South Manchester Coroners Court heard yesterday.

However, Marc was sadly found dead in his room on April 12, and police later uncovered a text he had sent someone in the early hours of the morning with "notice of intent to take his own life".
