There will be no second season for The Spencer Sisters. CTV has opted not to pick up a second season of the Canadian drama series starring Lea Thompson and Stacey Farber.
A rep for Canada’s CTV Television Network confirmed to Deadline that “a second season of The Spencer Sisters has not been picked up at this time.” The CW had picked up the first season of the series in 2023, which finished airing in December.
The Spencer Sisters followed a mother and daughter duo who team up to start a private detective agency. It pairs mystery novelist Victoria Spencer (Thompson) and her daughter Darby Spencer (Farber) who are mistaken as sisters as they tackle puzzling cases.
It also starred Thomas Antony Olajide, Edward Ruttle, Husein Madhavji, Ayesha Mansur Gonsalves, Rodrigo Massa, Kaitlyn Leeb and Adam Hurtig.
