Calvin Harris has ruled out writing a Euro 2024 anthem for Scotland - but he has backed the Tartan Army to reach the final in Berlin.The Dumfries-born DJ and producer joined Heart Breakfast Scotland with Des Clarke and Jennifer Reoch on Monday morning.
Calvin, who was joined on the radio show by Rag 'N' Bone Man, discussed his upcoming headline slot at Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival.Ahead of this summer’s European Championships, the superstar DJ disappointed listeners by revealing he has no plans to write a song for the Scottish National Football team.
However, he did insist that the Tartan Army will be in the competition’s final, which clashes with his TRNSMT gig on Sunday, July 14.And he's revealed that - if we do battle it out for the trophy on the competition's final game - he plans to turn the visuals at Glasgow Green into a stunning beam back of the match.
Asked if he was looking forward to performing at TRNSMT, Calvin replied: "I can’t wait. It feels like it’s been absolutely ages since I played in Scotland, actually.
