California will allow indoor concerts, theater performances, sporting events and conferences to resume starting April 15 in eligible areas.

The state unveiled its latest change to novel coronavirus-fueled restrictions Friday, according to the Associated Press, and stated that these events and performances can take place in areas coded as red, orange and yellow per California's Blueprint for a Safer Economy.

The most restrictive tier, purple, would not allow for these changes. Moreover, people who want to attend these indoor gatherings will need to be tested for COVID-19 or show proof of full vaccination.

The number of people allowed to attend indoor events will also depend on the color-coded tier that a region is currently in.
