Cal Boyington, a veteran TV talent and packaging agent at ICM Partners and Paradigm who co-founded Vital Artists Agency and also worked on The Osbournes and executive-produced TV series including Workaholics, died November 18 in Los Angeles.
He was 53. His brother B.G. Dickey confirmed the news to Deadline but said a cause of death was pending. Born Michael Carlton Boyington on March 3, 1971, in Kansas City, MO, he spent his formative years in Vail, CO, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
Boyington was an unscripted agent at ICM Partners, worked at Mandolin Entertainment and served as Head of Alternative Programming at Paradigm Talent Agency and VP Digital/TV at Rebel Entertainment Partners.
He co-launched Vital Artists Agency in late 2020 with Rebel Entertainment senior unscripted agents Phil Irven and April Yuan after the retirement of their former boss Richard Lawrence.
