A busy main road near Manchester city centre was closed on Monday evening after a van flipped onto its roof in a crash. Two vehicles were involved in the collision on Regent Road (A57), close to the roundabout, on Monday (August 29).
The westbound carriageway heading out of Manchester was temporarily blocked off, with police, paramedics and the fire service in attendance.
Pictures from the scene show the white van had flipped onto its roof, with a black BMW with a badly damaged rear also closeby.
The incident happened shortly before 5.30pm, with Transport for Greater Manchester warning drivers of heavy congestion in the area as diversions were put in place.
