People are being encouraged to come together in the city centre on Monday to mark the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Space for up to 10,000 people at three different locations is being set-up to view live TV coverage from 9am onwards. There will be two outdoor screens, at Cathedral Gardens and Exchange Square, with one indoors in Manchester Cathedral.
Each site is fully open to members of the public, with no need for a ticket, operating on a first come first served basis. Entry into the areas will be open from 9am with subtitled TV coverage of the funeral to be shown until around 5pm. An accessible viewing area will also be available in Cathedral Gardens. People planning on being in the area for the whole day are encouraged to bring their own chairs and there own refreshments, as nearby shops may not be open.
