A businessman ambushed a cyclist and pulled him off his bike following a road rage bust up outside his country home. Thomas Eckersley had sped ahead of Johnathan Williams in his Volvo 4x4 after the pair exchanged foul mouthed insults in a row over right of way.
But further up the road, the 46-year-old pulled over and hid behind a hedge where waited to pounce on the victim in a revenge attack as he rode past.
Mr Williams was checking his speed on a cycling computer when Eckersley suddenly jumped from the bushes and grabbed him, knocking the cyclist off his bike.
Then as the cyclist lay on the ground in agony with a shoulder injury, married father of three Eckersley - a director of his family property letting firm - tried to pick him up
