Police evacuated people from buildings near a petrol station last night over fears of a gas leak caused by a three-car crash.Officers alerted the public via Twitter, saying they were in attendance at the Morrisons petrol station in the Almondvale area of Livingston.Surrounding roads were also closed as a precaution following the smash, with police asking people to avoid the area.Roads were closed between Adambrae, Almondvale and Newpark Road roundabouts, as well as Alderstone Road.Police said: “Officers are assisting with a crash involving three vehicles at a petrol station in the Almondvale area of Livingston.“Nearby buildings have been evacuated as a precaution following a suspected gas leak caused by the collision.“The public is asked to avoid the area as there are a number of road closures in place.
