Allen Stone, one of the few contestants on American Song Contest who are already famous performers, will not be singing live on the show’s finale.
The 35-year-old soul and R&B singer, who is best known for his songs “Unaware” and “Brown Eyed Lover,” is having his rehearsal performance aired on the finale as he is unable to attend the live taping. Before his performance, Allen discussed his mom’s battle with cancer. He said, “My mom has been battling cancer for the past two years.
When i took the show, I told mom that I’m going to have to be gone. And I didn’t need to be on the show if she needed me around.
