Bucks Fizz star Jay Aston broke down in tears on Monday's Loose Women as she discussed her daughter Josie's bacterial meningitis battle.The singer's, 60, daughter was rushed to hospital last month and put into intensive care before being put into an induced after her organs began to fail following her diagnosis.
Now, nearly a month later, the 18 year old is recovering in a specialist kidney unit and has been told she will be "permanently scarred".
Speaking on Monday's Loose Women, Jay broke down in tears as she discussed her daughter's bacterial meningitis battle and raised awareness of the signs to look out for.

Talking to the panellists, Jay said: "What Josie wants is for people to be made aware of what's happened to her because she was in perfect health.The healthiest I've seen her, she was on a bit of a fitness kick and just looked glowing.Then literally, overnight, well we nearly lost her..." Jay explained that her daughter phoned her up saying that she wasn't feeling well and that she was "shaking really badly" with the two thinking it was heatstroke due to Josie having spent the day in the sun.
