BTS Breaks Record for Highest Grossing Worldwide Event Cinema Release With 'Permission to Dance on Stage'

BTS just broke yet another record. The South Korean “Butter” boy band broke the global event cinema record with a worldwide box office gross of approximately $32.6 million with BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – SEOUL: LIVE VIEWING, via distributor Trafalgar Releasing. Click inside to read more… TThe first live worldwide cinema broadcast of a concert from South Korea debuted in theaters on Saturday (March 12) at 3,711 cinemas in 75 countries/regions for a one-day limited engagement.

In North America, the live viewing reached the No. 2 spot in the Saturday box office with a gross of more than $6.84 million and a per-screen average of over $8,500 across 803 movie theaters.
