Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.
In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Bruno Fernandes said Manchester United must learn from their failure to beat Everton. United led twice at Old Trafford but failed to see out the game, conceding a 95th-minute equaliser to draw 3-3 and drop two points.
Fernandes, who scored a wonder goal to give United a 2-0 lead, said: “There are a lot of things to be disappointed with. “We were making so many mistakes in the last few games and we can’t keep conceding goals like that. “We have to be more focused, we have to have the same desire to score and to defend our goal. “Every time we have to make goals and score goals, it has to be the same to not concede and I think we have to learn from this. “It's already happened a lot of times so it's more than a bit disappointing.
