It may not have been a Super Bowl like any other but one thing never changes- the half-time ads. While Coke and Pepsi were not on show for pretty much the first time ever there were still a host of celebs lined up by brands to appear in their ads.
But believe it or not, four-time Super Bowl winner Joe Montana appears in Guinness’ first-ever Super Bowl commercial. The half-time ads in the Super Bowl, which this year saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers trounce the Kansas Chiefs, are almost as big a deal as the game itself.
Associated Press reports a 30-second spot in this year’s broadcast costs an eye-watering $5.5 million. This year the Boss Bruce Springsteen made a rare commercial appearance to sell unity in an ad for Jeep.
