UK travellers will soon be able to enjoy a holiday in Dubai from July 7 but face heavy fines if they flout new rules. The UAE is gearing up to ease restrictions after enforcing one of the world's strictest lockdowns.

Around 1.5 million Brits visit every year, but the coronavirus pandemic has crippled the tourism industry, as just a small number of flights repatriating citizens left and entered the country.

Now, tourists wishing to enter the country will have to be privately tested for Covid-19, no more than 72 hours before their flight.
