Brits 'annoyed' by really tiny parking spaces that 'wouldn't fit half a car'

Cornwall town that has made parking inside the lines virtually impossible - but they're also trying to see the funny side.The Belle Vue Short Stay car park, on Belle Vue Road, Saltash became a popular talking point on the Saltash Community Facebook Group, with one man joking that people needed "a little car" to park there.Many had commented that the spaces 'have always been annoying', but some questioned if the spaces were meant to be used sideways, Cornwall Live reports.The spaces are reportedly too small to fit a car sideways as well - so there isn't an option for most vehicles if they attempt to squeeze in.The rest of the car park has full-sized spaces, but the spaces along the wall are smaller than the others.Some people joked that parking wardens may 'give you a ticket for not staying in the lines'.According to the British Parking Association, off-street bays should be 2.4 metres wide by 4.8 metres long."These dimensions are neither minimum nor written in tablets of stone, and may be revised to suit your particular needs, but remember that good access and wider bays aids efficient use of the parking area," it adds.For more shocking stories from the Daily Star, make sure you sign up for one of our newsletters here."Some car parks are now designed with a thick coloured outline around the bays, an area to enable better access."Cornwall Live readers responded to the news on Facebook, writing: "Bet you get fined for parking over the lines."Another wrote: "Does this mean you only have to pay half the parking fee!!"A third said: "Today’s massive cars are too big for most spaces."A fourth wrote: "What's are the planers and builders doing!
