Britney Spears on Tuesday for the first time appeared to address an emotional documentary that focused on some of the more difficult times of her life as a young superstar.
The New York Times Presents Framing Britney Spears was released last Friday. The doc examines the singer's conservatorship and her early 2000sdownfall, which became fodder for late-night hosts and tabloids that delighted in her struggles.
In a social media post that accompanied aclip of Spears performing at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in 2017, the singer wrote, "I’ll always love being on stage ....
but I am taking the time to learn and be a normal person ..... I love simply enjoying the basics of everyday life!!!!" Seemingly referring to the documentary, Spears.
