Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn’s memoir was ‘painfully deluded’ and ‘borderline masochistic’ as her reputation hangs in the balance

The timing of its release, just a couple of months after Britney was finally freed from the conservatorship she had been under for 13 years, meant the reception from the public was not what had been expected.Eric Schiffer, Chairman of the Los Angeles-based firm, Reputation Management Consultants, believes Jamie Lynn’s tactical timing has worked to her downfall.
He explained to Metro.co.uk: ‘Jamie Lynn, reputationally, made a serious mistake to enter the fray with a book at this time, post Britney’s freedom and to suggest that she didn’t time it accordingly would be one of the greatest cons of modern publishing.’Jamie Lynn had denied that the book was about Britney, emphasising that it was about her own experiences of growing up in the Spears family and things that had happened within her own life.Britney may have hit back at Jamie Lynn directly via social media, but Eric adds: ‘Britney is viewed today, because of her struggles with her family, in a far more compassionate way than ever before. ‘For her to vent is normal, authentic, raw and real.
