Selena Marie Gomez (born July 22, 1992) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and television producer. After appearing on the children's series Barney & Friends (2002–2004), she received wider recognition for her portrayal of Alex Russo on the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place, which aired from 2007 until 2012.

Britney Spears and her husband Sam Asghari have been separated for nearly three weeks, according to divorce papers filed in California.
Rumours that the pair were ending their 14-month marriage circulated around the world this week and it was finally confirmed after Asghari filed the divorce papers yesterday.
Asghari, 29, filed his petition to dissolve his marriage to the 41-year-old popstar in a Los Angeles County Court. He cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
The document noted that the couple had separated on July 28, although reports of the split did not emerge until Wednesday (August 16).
