Holidaymakers heading to Spain this week have been warned of “significantly high temperatures” as the country experiences baking conditions.
Amber and yellow weather warnings have been issued for large swathes of the country and forecasters have warned it could reach up to 40C in some areas.
Yellow weather warnings are in place across central Spain for Thursday, July 18 for temperatures in the high 30s. They have also been issued for the island of Mallorca.
Meanwhile amber warnings for temperatures of up to 40C are in place for Valle de Tajo, Sur, Vegas y Oeste and Metropolitana y Henares.
