Locals hunting for Esther Dingley, the British hiker missing in the Pyrenees, say they fear she may have fallen into a freezing lake.
Esther, 37, was last heard from on November 22 after she headed off on a solo hike from Spain into France. Her partner Dan Colegate, 38, reported her missing after she failed to return after walking from the Port de la Glere to the Port de Venasque, a trek which follows the border between France and Spain.
Esther and Dan had been travelling throughout Europe since 2014 and she was expected to return from the solo trek on Wednesday.
