Just minutes into the start of the fourth show of the week, fans headed onto social media to question the music mogul's choice of accessories.
The 63-year-old took to the judging panel, alongside Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli, in a pair of red tinted glasses.
Not only did the specs catch the attention of people watching the ITV show from home, but also hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. "Are you feeling confident?" Ant asked Simon in regards to the Golden Buzzer acts, to which he replied: "Why do you think I have got these on?" while taking off his glasses.
