Golf nut Greg Taylor insists the clubs are away until the end of the season for everyone at Celtic but it won’t take long to get into the swing of things under Brendan Rodgers, writes Michael Gannon in Japan.The full back loves getting out on the links and he lapped up the recent interview his new boss did on the course out in Spain for ex-pro Jimmy Bullard’s smash hit YouTube channel just after landing the Parkhead gig.
But Taylor reckons Rodgers and the rest of the Hoops will put the sticks in the cupboard for now as the focus will be on chasing trophies rather than birdies.The Scotland star said: “We were talking about the YouTube thing on the flight over to Japan and he was saying he’d done it, so I went and watched it.
It was good! He was telling us he played cack-handed as it was something from playing hurling back in the day. I’m sure he enjoys it but won’t get much time for golf now.
He’s the kind of manager who spends every minute trying to improve players and the team.Celtic are going for glory once more as they embark on a new era.
