Manchester United fans will no doubt have been Googling the name David Carmo a lot over the past 24 hours. The Braga defender has emerged as a potential option for the Reds as Erik ten Hag begins his summer rebuild.
The new United boss will be in the market for a new defender, and the ground work has already been done with Carmo. Of course, Ten Hag does have a clear favourite when it comes to signing a new defender, and United will be prioritising Jurrien Timber over the coming weeks.
Not only does the Ajax youngster know Ten Hag well, but he provides a versatile option, and is able to double up as a full-back, and has even been touted for a role in midfield in the past. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, the Reds have held two rounds of talks with the 22-year-old, who received his first call-up to the Portugal national team last week.
