Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of the Portugal squad that will travel to Switzerland on Sunday.
The attacker scored twice in the 4-0 reverse victory in the Nations League last week, but will not feature in his country’s final match of the season.
The 37-year-old is not thought to be injured but is instead being given a rest. Wolves midfielder Joao Moutinho and Borussia Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro also miss the clash.
Portugal head coach Fernando Santos explained why the trio were absent in a press conference on Saturday. READ MORE: David de Gea sends message to Manchester United youngsters about Cristiano Ronaldo "There are no physical problems.
