Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was shot and stabbed in Salford. A 34-year-old man was rushed to hospital with a gunshot injury and stab wounds following an incident at a property on Norfolk Street, Walkden, at around 6.30pm on Saturday November 4.
On Tuesday evening (November 7), officers arrested a 29-year-old and a 30-year-old man on suspicion of the attempted murder.
Officers have been stationed outside in Swinton in relation to the investigation, the M.E.N. understands Police are now appealing for information over the 'vicious' attack, which they say is an isolated incident and believed to be targeted. Speaking to the M.E.N. on Saturday, residents on Norfolk Street said they were shocked by the violent incident. A 25-year-old resident of the estate said it was ‘unexpected’ as he watched ‘eight police cars and two ambulances’ with sirens blaring arrive in the street last night.
