BREAKING: Cumbernauld man struck by bin wagon

A man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a bin lorry in Cumbernauld earlier this afternoon. The 58-year-old was struck by the vehicle on the Main Road area of Condorrat, at around 12.10pm.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: “Around 12.10pm on Friday, 20 May, 2022, police were called to the Main Road area of Condorrat, Cumbernauld, following a report of a road crash involving a bin lorry and a 58-year-old man.
