BREAKING: Man arrested in connection with death of 40-year-old man in Johnstone

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man and the serious injury of a woman in Johnstone yesterday.Police were called to MacDowall Street at 1.50am yesterday and when they arrived they found a 40-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.A 59-year-old woman was taken from the scene to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow, with serious injuries.Medical staff have described her condition as “stable”.
