Brawl erupts outside Edinburgh pub as hooligans clash after Hearts Vs Hibs derby

The video was posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, and the person that posted the video claimed the men fighting on Greenside Place, Edinburgh are members of Hibs and Hearts ultras groups, reports Edinburgh Live.Hibs and Hearts played each other in the Edinburgh Derby at Easter Road last night, Wednesday, December 27, with the Tynecastle side coming out on top after a dramatic second-half injury time winner from Lawrence Shankland.Several men can be seen fighting at the entrance to the Theatre Royal Bar, throwing punches and kicking one another, with more violence erupting on the street as objects are thrown and the melee escalates.Police Scotland were unable to confirm at this stage if the incident was football-related.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.25pm on Wednesday, 27 December, 2023, police received a report of a disturbance on Greenside Place, Edinburgh.“Officers attended and the group dispersed.“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here .
