A courageous roofer dashed into a burning building and rescued a man following an explosion that devastated a semi-detached house.
Kayfee Hameed, from Berwick Hills, was passing by Kirkland Walk in Middlesbrough when he witnessed the aftermath of an explosion that had left a man trapped under debris within the flaming structure.
The 45-year-old father selflessly sprinted into the building and hoisted the injured man onto his back, navigating back out through the flames.
Despite onlookers urging him not to risk his life, he managed to carry the man to safety, laying him on the grass as emergency services swarmed the area.
