An eight-year-old boy who died after being shot in the head at a farm in Cumbria has been named. The schoolboy, identified now as Jay Cartmel, from Frizington, passed away in hospital after the horror incident on Saturday (September 28).
Jay died after sustaining the serious head injuries in an incident on land not far from the A66, north of Warcop. Emergency services were called to the scene and Jay was airlifted to hospital.

Emergency services were called at around 2.50pm yesterday (28 Sept) to a farm in the Warcop area following a report that a child had been seriously injured by a firearm at the property.
