A four-year-old boy is in hospital after being flung in the air during a 'shocking' hit-and-run incident. A teenager was also injured in the ordeal in Wolverhampton on Sunday afternoon.

The boys were on Springfield Road, Heath Town just after 3pm when a car mounted the pavement and struck both boys, before hitting a parked car and driving off.

The older 13-year-old, a friend of the younger boy’s brother, was on his bike and sustained cuts and bruises. He was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The younger four-year-old was flung in the air and has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg. His mother also received minor injuries. Have you been affected by this story?
