Police have made a further arrest in an investigation into a stabbing on a busy road in Longsight. The attack happened on Slade Lane at around 6.15pm last Friday (May 17).
The victim - a man aged in his 20s - was stabbed in the chest, Greater Manchester Police said. He was rushed to hospital from the scene in a critical condition.

He remains in custody to be quizzed by detectives. Another man - aged in his 50s - who was also released on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on police bail.
