‘Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy’ Unveils Supporting Cast: Isla Fisher, Nico Parker Join Returning Jim Broadbent and More

Jack Dunn “Wedding Crashers” star Isla Fisher, Nico Parker (“How To Train Your Dragon”), Josette Simon (“Anatomy of a Scandal”) and Leila Farzad (“Black Mirror: Joan is Awful”) have joined the cast of “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” which premieres on Valentine’s Day next year in theaters internationally and on Peacock in the U.S.

Gemma Jones and Jim Broadbent return to play Bridget’s mom and dad. Sarah Solemani, Sally Phillips, Shirley Henderson and James Callis will return to reprise their roles as Bridget’s friends.

Neil Pearson, Joanna Scanlan and Celia Imrie also return for this latest installment in the “Bridget Jones” series. They join stars Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson as well as newcomers Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall. “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” is based on the third “Bridget Jones” novel by Helen Fielding and will be the fourth movie in the franchise.

The film is currently in production with Michael Morris directing from a script by Fielding, Abi Morgan and Dan Mazer. “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” released in 2016, grossed $212 million worldwide with a budget of $35 million.
