An 11-year-old boy is one of two people charged after a double stabbing in Longsight. A 16-year-old boy and a 20 year-old man both suffered 'serious injuries' after the incident shortly before 7pm on Tuesday (February 4), 'in the vicinity of' Rushord Street and Purcell Street, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

The pair remain in hospital for treatment where they are said to be in a 'stable' condition, they added. In an update issued this morning (Friday), the force said a man and a boy had both now been charged in connection with the incident.
