Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

mirror.co.ukBoris Johnson is expected to name Prince William's former aide as the new head of the civil service. Simon Case's appointment as Cabinet Secretary, which was due to be announced on Tuesday, comes amid efforts by No10 to shake-up Whitehall, according to the FT.
Mr Case, 41, was the Duke of Cambridge's right-hand man for nearly two years before moving to Downing Street to help with the coronavirus crisis.
His predecessor Sir Mark Sedwill announced he would step down earlier this year after reports of clashes with Boris Johnson's top aide Dominic Cummings.
Mr Cummings has been pushing for reform the civil service and reportedly told political advisers in June that a "hard rain was coming" to Whitehall.
