Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has tested positive for coronavirus. Johnson reportedly has mild symptoms and will self-isolate at Number 10 Downing Street, where he has been holding a daily Covid-19 conference in recent weeks.
Officials have reportedly told the BBC Johnson will still be charge of leading the government’s handling of the deadly crisis.
Advisors of the Prime Minister have now reportedly been forced to go into isolation, including Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
Johnson was last seen in public on the steps of Downing Street last night as he joined Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, for a celebratory clap to the National Health Service.
