Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Boris Johnson has admitted that there were packed parties in Downing Street last Christmas despite the rest of the country being in lockdown.The Prime Minister failed three times to deny Downing Street hosted boozy parties in the run up to last Christmas when he was confronted in the Commons.

Labour leader Keir Starmer said Johnson was “taking the public for fools” if he though they would believe his claim that no rules were broken at the two events.

The fiery accusations follow the revelations in our sister newspaper, The Mirror, that the PM gave a speech at a packed leaving do for a top aide last November at the height of the second lockdown.
