A woman whose body was recovered from the River Kelvin in Glasgow has been named by police.The body of Katrina Winters, 59, was pulled from the water in the West End of the city around 12.30pm on Friday November 10.
She had been reported missing prior to the grim discovery and her family alerted.Police say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.Officers from Police Scotland Air Support Unit were pictured at the River Kelvin using drone footage in an effort to try and trace the body.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a woman recovered from the River Kelvin in Glasgow shortly before 12.30pm on Friday, 10 November, 2023 has been formally identified as 59-year-old Katrina Winters."There are no apparent suspicious circumstances, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
