Maeve Kennedy McKean, 40, was found in Maryland, USA, on Monday, days after she and her son Gideon, 8, vanished. The boy is now also feared to be dead.
The pair had been seen paddling a canoe into the waters off the Chesapeake Bay last Thursday to retrieve a ball. Maryland Natural Resources Police said crews made the discovery at around 5.30pm local time on Monday, reports CBS Baltimore.
Officials said the body was found in about 25 feet of water some 2.5 miles away from Ms McKean's mother’s home in Shady Side, Maryland, south of Annapolis.
