A body of a man has been found at the shore of the most southernly point of Scotland.A police cordon has been in place at a car park at Mull of Galloway, Dumfries and Galloway, since the discovery around 5.40am on Monday morning, at .Police have launched a probe into the man's death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.It is understood lifeboats from Portpatrick, Stranraer, and Newton Stewart launched in the early hours of the morning, in connection with the body being discovered.
The RNLI has been approached for comment. Pictures show the car park next to the Gallie Craig Coffee House closed off to the public, with a marked police vehicle and two camper vans at the scene.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.40am on Monday, August 7, 2023, the body of a man was discovered at the shore at Mull of Galloway.“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
