Bobby Davro has described his fiancée's illness as "horrific" and says he is using his work to "distract" himself from the pain.
The comedian's long-term partner Vicky Wright was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. It's the same disease that sadly killed her father.
In a moving interview with the Daily Star, Bobby, 64, was overcome with emotion as he tearfully explained how the couple were coping.
He told the publication it was "horrific" to see someone as "beautiful as her" suffer. “It’s extremely, extremely, extremely painful," he said. “Thank goodness I’ve got my work because it keeps my mind off this for a bit of time." The 64 year old has just completed a run of Easter pantos and is set to perform a stand-up charity gig with his old friend Jim Davidson in Great Yarmouth to raise money for The Caister Lifeboat Appeal.
